Recipe 10 · New customers & account linking · Short campaign

Store-wide push for linked accounts — hit the goal and everyone unlocks a draw that day

A shared progress bar invites new people in and gives existing members a sense of involvement. Set three goal tiers based on your linked-account count before launch and your past growth rate; when a tier is hit, everyone unlocks a draw together.

Friends finish a challenge together and share the fun of joining a brand campaign

Campaign length

14 days (three tiers)

First-time setup

150–180 min first-time setup

Ongoing cost after launch

During the campaign, about 5 min a day to check the progress bar; each of the three tier hits needs one push message sent by hand

Times are estimates for running the recipe itself; brand content, reward prep, customer service and results reviews need separate staff time. The scope of training and hands-on support is confirmed based on your plan.

We practice it with you

Together we work out the three linking goals and the reward budget for all members, and plan the LINE entry points and manual announcements.

What we review together afterward

Check new linked accounts, draws used and redemption records, then line up everyday missions new members can join next.

1 / 7 · Day 0

The admin console shows 1,240 linked accounts right now, so the three tiers are set at 1,290 / 1,340 / 1,390 (+4% / +8% / +12%). These three numbers are the only part of the whole campaign that takes real thought.

Three tiers, no ranking — even if you didn't bring in a single person, you still unlock when the goal is hit.

How to get all kinds of members to take part

Three tiers give the campaign a goal for each stage. In the example, tier 1 is set at “linked accounts on launch day plus 4%,” planned to be hit around day 3 — in practice you adjust it to your brand's past growth rate, and the date it's hit isn't guaranteed. What a tier hit produces is “every linked member unlocks one draw,” not handed out by rank or by who came first. The personal invite ladder also works on goals (invite 1 person, then 3, and unlock one extra draw at each), so people at every level of involvement have something to aim for.

Getting ready to launch · Setup, modules and staffing

What to set up in the admin console (130 fields total)

  1. 1. Before launch, measure your current linked-account count and work the tiers back from it

Read-only, no fields to fill; counted as members with a community nickname who haven't been deleted

  2. 2. Create three store-wide shared goal milestones (safe / main / stretch)

    Per tier: trigger type / threshold / label / reward mode / start / end / order / enabled, etc. — 10 fields × 3 tiers

  3. 3. Create 4 campaign-only prizes and add them to the three tiers' prize pools (not listed in the Points Store)

    Prizes 9 fields × 4 items + prize pool per tier 3 fields × 4 slots × 3 tiers

  4. 4. Add a campaign-only invite ladder (only counts people invited during this campaign)

1 milestone in cumulative mode: trigger type / cumulative toggle / starting point / draws per invite / lifetime cap / start / end, etc. — 13 fields

  5. 5. From Day 8, run sprint week: 5 popular rewards go on Limited-time Deals

Per item: sale points / sale start / sale end — 3 fields × 5 items

  6. 6. Add a Rich Menu tile that takes people to the spin wheel page and the invite page

Set up by the brand in the LINE Official Account admin; no fields to fill in our system

Staff time: 150–180 min first-time setup. During the campaign, about 5 min a day to check the progress bar; each of the three tier hits needs one push message sent by hand. Two days before the end, you have to send one manual reminder about unused draws

Prerequisites: Member policy set to “Bind first” or “Open” — “Play first” (the setting where members can play and earn before linking, and only need to link to redeem) can't run this recipe, Lucky Spin Wheel module turned on, The actual linked-account count, taken right before launch — a hard prerequisite; the three tiers are worked back from it, A Rich Menu tile available to point to the spin wheel page and the invite page, The brand has LINE push message quota available (goal announcements and reminders both depend on it), The brand accepts that “existing members get it too” — the cost is based on all linked members

Limits to know before you launch Pitfall × 8
  • The progress bar counts “everyone who has ever linked their account as a member” — unlinked members don't count, and it isn't the number added during this campaign. All three tiers must be set higher than your linked-account count on launch day; otherwise the old number hits the goal in the first minute and the prizes are all claimed at once. This is the one thing in this recipe you have to watch closely.
  • Your project's member policy must be “Bind first” or “Open.” If it's set to “Play first,” unlinked members aren't counted in the progress bar, and the bar they see always shows 0 — with no error message telling you why.
  • A goal hit can only unlock “one spin.” It can't be changed to a discount coupon for everyone or a specific prize. Clients always ask — don't say yes on the spot.
  • The progress bar shows on the spin wheel page, not the LIFF home page, and the spin wheel page has no share button — inviting lives on a separate page. If you want people to see the bar and invite right there, you have to set up the entry points yourself with the Rich Menu.
  • Hitting a goal doesn't send a push message. When the store unlocks, the system tells no one; members only see it the next time they open LIFF themselves. Each of the three tier hits needs one message sent by hand — it's the only source of the campaign's emotional high points.
  • Unlocked draws that aren't used are voided the moment the milestone ends, and there's no expiry reminder. Two days before the end, you have to manually check the list of unused draws and remind those members.
  • Budget by “total linked members,” not by the number of new ones: when tier 1 is hit, every linked member unlocks at once. This is the cost people most often underestimate.
  • For virtual prizes, save first, then go back and import the codes — you can't import them while creating the prize. Prizes given out without codes land in “Pending” and need to be fulfilled by hand.

What can't be automated

  • Before launch, measure the linked-account count by hand and work out the three tiers — the system doesn't suggest values
  • Check the progress bar by hand once a day — there are no goal-hit alerts and no stall notifications
  • Send one LINE push message by hand for each of the three tier hits; the system won't notify members on its own
  • Day 12: manually pull the “unlocked, not used” list and send a push reminder
  • Save virtual prizes, then go back and import the codes; prizes given out without codes land in Pending and need to be fulfilled by hand
  • Post-campaign results have to be checked by running a read-only query; there's no campaign results report
