Recipe 04 · Everyday return visits · Always-on

Check-in milestones plus a monthly leaderboard make everyday effort visible

A daily rhythm for brands that already have regulars: check-ins that add up, missions that show progress, and a monthly leaderboard that recognizes effort — giving members a reason to keep going.

Campaign length

Always-on

First-time setup

Setup 40 min

Ongoing cost after launch

After that, zero staff time each month; 10 min on the 1st to check the first month's results

Times are estimates for running the recipe itself; brand content, reward prep, customer service and results reviews need separate staff time. The scope of training and hands-on support is confirmed based on your plan.

We practice it with you

Together we set up the check-in ladder and monthly leaderboard rewards, so members at every activity level have room to take part.

What we review together afterward

Look at how many days people come back and their mission completion records. If only a few are taking part, lower the starting threshold first.

Rank rewards reach down to places 51–200, so the middle and back of the pack win something real.

How to get all kinds of members to take part

Monthly leaderboard rewards reach down to places 51–200, so the middle and back of the pack win something real. Rankings are based on “missions completed,” not XP — big spenders can easily pull ahead on XP, but missions reward diligence, so people at the back can catch up. And personal check-in streaks are completely separate from the rankings, so there's always a path that doesn't require beating anyone.

Limits to know before you launch Pitfall × 3
  • Each check-in streak threshold pays out only once per member, ever. Long-time members who finish the 90-day ladder have no streak income after that, so something else has to take over — otherwise, by month four you'll have a group of veteran members with “nothing left to earn.”
  • The monthly leaderboard is hard-wired to calendar months — it can't settle a half-month window like “5/1–5/14” on its own. When a client asks, “Can it settle just for our two-week anniversary sale?”, the answer is no. Don't say yes.
  • In the first month after launch, someone must manually check the results once before you tell anyone it's automated.

What can't be automated

  • The first month's settlement needs a manual check that its status is Completed
